10 convicts on parole missing 

   

Bengaluru ;  The city police have stepped up into and a started vigil investigations to trace as many as 10 convicts who went out on parole from Central prison of Parappana Agrahara were missing.

Senior officer said,They are among the 22 convicts who jumped parole conditions and are on the run from across the state prisons since 2004 to till date.These convicts serving life terms are entitled to get 90 days of parole every year. 

The prison department,considering their behaviour and track record,granted them parole . Since the year 2004 as many as 90 convicts from parappana Agarahara prison had escaped, out of which 80 arrested and brought back to the prison, while the remaining ten of them are still elusive .

The prison department has filed FIRs at the  jurisdictional police stations against the convicts and reviews the progress of the investigations every two months he added.
