Bengaluru: Using indigeneous components which is easily available in domestic supply chain developed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) grade ventilator. These ventilators are used in treatment of COVID-19.
IISc said in its Face book post,” The ventilator developed by PRAANA team, supports both invasive and non-invasive ventilation. The team took 35 days to go from the drawing board to proof of concept system and then a working prototype in another two weeks.”
Duvvuri Subrahmanyam, faculty member of IISc said “ we want to collaborate with an industry partner to further co-develop the prototype into a field-ready product.”
