Justice DY Chandrachud, the chairman of the E-committee, Supreme Court, on Thursday e-inaugurated Virtual Court e-inaguarated Virtual Courts for Traffic Challans and an e-Filling System for Karnataka.
Justice Arvind Kumar of the Karnataka High Court stated that about 9.000 Challans are generated and large amounts of fines are collected in the state, since Karnataka has higher number of vehicles, where Bangalore alone contributes most of it. Violators of the traffic rules can pay the fine from anywhere. Earlier they have to go to the court for paying the fine. Now it saves times for both Judges and the violators. He also said virtual courts reduces the burden of courts, reduces the footfall, and also quickens the Court process for all stakeholders.
