Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayana on Sunday during an online platform ‘ Feature Karnataka Summit-2020 ‘ organised by Spare Travel Media and Exhibition organization said, “ The GDP of the state of Karnataka is growing sustainably amidst many challeges including COVID-19 and may touch Rs 35 lakh crore in the next 5 years. State’s GSDP now stands at 15.35 lakh crore.
The government has taken measures to strengthen agriculture, IT & BT, production and service sectors.The State is planning to build an industrial corridor in the stretch between Mysore and Bidar to augment the development of industry and commerce. To attract investments, the state had introduced the Land Reform Amendment Act, APMC Amendment Act and simplification of labour laws.
