For the past 45 hours, a group of monkeys have been stranded in Badami, Bagalakote. People are trying to rescue monkeys from this isolated place, surrounded by water. But they could not reach the place. The river Malaprabha is overflowing due to heavy rain in Badami.
Meanwhile Former CM Siddaramaiah apologised to the people since he is observing mandatory home isolation after recovering from coronavirus. His tweet read, “ People of Badami are under stress due to floods. I am constantly monitoring the situation and also communicating with officers and our party leaders there. I am sorry for not being present there as I am under mandatory home isolation.” Siddaramaiah accused the state government of not handling the situation and only interested in Bangalore violence to gain political mileage. The former Chief Minister said that the Home Minister is surveying flood affected areas while the Revenue Minister continues to ‘speculate’ on the Bengaluru violence.
