RSS joins Nagpur Muncipal Corporation to launch ‘Mission Vishwas’ to help combat COVID-19
Rashtriya Swayamsevak sangh’s Lok Kalyan Samiti along with the Nagpur Muncipal Corporation (NMC) launched ‘Mission Vishwas’ in Nagpur, to councel COVID-19 patients and trace their contacts. This programme helps to get the maximum number of people tested for COVID-19. Head of ‘Mission Vishwas’,Nagpur said “ We contact positive patients, trace their contacts and advise them to get tested. Our aim is to get the maximum number of people tested for COVID-19. We have trained volunteers to counsel people tested positive for the virus. We will also take care of their non-medical needs.
Meanwhile Maharashtra on Friday reported 19,218 new cases, taking a tally to 8,63,062 while the death toll rose to 25,964. In Pune 80 medical staff (40 doctors and 40 nurses) had quit the recently inaugurated jumbo Covid facility at CoEP grounds citing issues of their safety. According to Union Health Ministry on Saturday, Maharashtra continuous to be worst affected by the pandemic with 2,11,325 active cases.
