Nesargi, Belagavi dist January 24: Karnataka Mines and Geology Minister Murugesh Nirani turned a good samaritan and helped people who suffered injuries in a road accident in Belagavi.
A KSRTC bus and a car collided head-on near Nesargi on the outskirts of Belagavi on Sunday morning. Several people suffered injuries and the accident left victims panic-stricken and crying for help.
In a humane gesture, Mines and Geology Minister Murugesh Nirani consoled the panic-stricken passengers and enquired about their wellbeing, he came to the rescue of those injured in the mishap. The minister contacted the concerned officials through his phone and arranged ambulance to shift the injured people. He comforted the passengers and asked them to approach him for any treatment and further assistance.
Minister Murugesh Nirani who is scheduled to take part in the Republic Day celebrations in Yadgir district, was heading to Mudhol via Belagavi. He asked his driver to stop the vehicle after noticing the passengers frightened by head-on collision between bus and car. The passengers and the local residents appreciated the minister’s humanitarian gesture and his help.
