Bengaluru, Jan 27: It was a day of several meetings for the Mines and Geology minister Murugesh R Nirani on Thursday.
Soon after Legislative Assembly adjourned for lunch, the office-bearers of Federation of Karnataka Quarry & Stone Crushers Owners’ Association met the minister and held meeting discussing the issues pertaining to their sector.
There after, delegation of Federation of Karnataka Granite Quarry and Stone Industry held a meeting and urged the minister to implement certain provisions for the smooth functioning of the sector.
The minister assured the associations that a joint meeting involving officials of the department and various stakeholders would be convened soon. “This is industry and investors’ friendly governing. The government will before you instead of association coming to Vidhana or Vikasa soudha. I have decided to hold Mines adalat in five places in the state. The Adalat will solve the issue pertaining to the sector” He said.
Post lunch, Mr Nirani met the senior officials of Mines and Geology department to held deliberations on the present and proposed policies and rules.
