The Anti-Narcotics wing of Central Crime Branch on Saturday busted another drug racket and arrested four persons including two Nigerian nationals who were peddling drugs in the city and have recovered One kg of MDMA crystal worth Rs 75 lakh from them.
The accused has been identified as,Ndikata Albert Junior,43,and Helson Henry Koppi,34, both from Nigeria,Junaid,32 and Shakeer,35 from Kunnur in Kerala.
Sandeep Patil,Joint commissioner of police Crime,said,our Anti-Narcotics Wing officials recieved a credible inputs about drug peddling near Ramamurthynagar.Based on a tip off,a team of officials rushed to the spot and caught Albert junior red handed while he was waiting on Ramamurthynagar main road to deliver the stuff to his clients.
Our team apprehended him and took the nearest police station and during questioning based on his information the police team arrested three of his associates and seized 1 Kg MDMA,(600 gms of Brown MDMA crystals & 400 gms of White MDMA crystals) worth about 75 lakhs along with three mobile phones,one weighing machine one motor bike also seized from their possession.
During investigation it was found that the accused Ndikata Albert Junior and Helson Henry did not have any passport and travel documents and was overstaying in the city
The CCB officials are now probing to ascertain the source of drugs and their network and a case has been registered against the accused under NDPS Act and Foreigners Act and further investigation is on.
