Horse race betting racket busted 11 arrested in Bengaluru Seized 2.56 lakhs:
The CCB officials busted betting racket inside race course and arrested 11 persons running the show.The police have also seized Rs 2.56 lakh from them.
The accused has been identified as,Gautham Chand,Manju,Arshad Shukoor,TS Shivarudregowda,Yogendra H,Santosh,Anil Kumar,Balaji,Krishna,Suresh and Kirthi Kumar.
Senior officer told reporters,Based on tip off,about the horse race betting going on for the ongoing horse race inside the race course near gate no 2 the special team led by DCP Crime-1,KP Ravikumar under the leadership of ACP, Hanumantharaya and his team swung into action.
ACP,Hanumantharaya,and team of police rushed to the spot and raided gate no.2 members stand and arrested all the 11 persons who were indulged in collecting illegal horse race betting inside the race course.
During the raid all the accused were caught red handed receiving betting amount from punters for the ongoing horse race scheduled in the afternoon and seized Rs.2.56 Lakhs from their possession.
The accused have been booked under gambling and a case has been registered against them in in High Grounds police station and further investigation is on.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Joint CP Crime,Sandeep Patil,DCP Crime-1,KP Ravikumar,ACP, Hanumantharaya and his whole team for the commendable job done by them who has busted a gambling racket inside the race course he added.
