*Intensified Indradhanush 3.0 launched: Health and Medical Education Minister Dr.K.Sudhakar*
*Indradhanush immunisation drive from February 22 to March 22*

The Indradhanush immunisation drive to vaccinate pregnant women and children against 7 diseases will be held in state from Feb 22 to March 22, said Health and Medical Education Minister Dr.K.Sudhakar.
Speaking at the Press Conference, Dr.Sudhakar said that children below 2 years age and pregnant women will be vaccinated in 13 identified districts. Regions with low coverage, pockets in urban areas and villages which missed routine immunisation due to Covid-19, high-risk areas such as slums will be covered in this drive, explained Dr.Sudhakar.
The Mission Indrdhanush was launched by PM Modi Government on, 25th December 2014, birthday of Former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee. On October 8, 2017, Intensified Mission Indradhanush 2.0 was launched. Now, 3.0 has been launched. Mission Indrdhanush aims to prevent 7 diseases- diphtheria, whooping, cough, tetanus, poliomyelitis, tuberculosis,
measles, meningitis and Hepatitis B.
The Intensified Mission Indradhannush 3.0 will cover 13 districts of the state Bengaluru, BBMP, Ballari, Bagalkote, Belagavi, Bidar, Chikkaballapur, Davangere, Gadag, Kalburgi, Koppala, Raichur and Vijayapura. Slums, construction sites, migrant settlements will be focused, explained the Minister.
