BMTC bus hits bike,kills constable in road accident :
A 47 year old Head Constable was killed on the spot when a BMTC bus knocked him down on Magadi road under Byadarahalli police station limits on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as,Ramachari attached to city market police station was returning home from work .
At around 1.45 pm Ramachari was heading home when the BMTC bus knocked the motorcycle he was riding.Ramachari lost control over due to the impact and slipped under the wheel and ran over by killer BMTC.
The whole act was captured on CCTV footage.
Traffic was disrupted for sometime when passers by gathered at the spot.
Traffic police from the nearest rushed to the spot and cleared the traffic.
Senior officers from the police department condole the death of head constable and paid their tributes and last respect to the departed soul.
After post mortem mortal remains will be taken to his village Manikyanahalli in Melkote,Mandya.
The BMTC driver has been detained by Byadarahalli police and interrogation is on.
The Byadarahalli police have taken up a case and are investigating further.
