*Bengaluru – March 26, 2021*: There is no question of hiding covid numbers. Our Government neither intends nor it is possible to hide any details. Only factual data is made public, says health & Medical Education Minister Dr.K.Sudhakar. He was speaking to the media here on Friday.
We are not hiding any statistics regarding Covid-19. All opposition leaders are welcome to give their valuable suggestions for controlling Covid. They can also figure out any flaws in the system. CM may call all party meeting to discuss the issue. We are free to discuss anything in this regard he said.
Chief Minister has taken a decision on festival celebrations. We have put restrictions on public gatherings and congregations during upcoming festivals. There are 704 cases in Manipal institute alone and it has been sealed down. We are taking stringent measures every where to curb spreading. 35,000 cases have been reported in Maharashtra yesterday, and 2,000 here. People should take it seriously and follow precautions. Youth should voluntarily take the elderly people at home people for vaccination, said the Minister.
Technical advisory committee has suggested several precautionary measures. Chief Minister will take decision in this regard. It is difficult to restrict any activity, but keeping in view the spread of infection, adequate measures will be initiated. Health department officials have submitted a representation to Election Commission regarding safe conduct of by-elections amidst the second wave, said Dr.K.Sudhakar.
