Strongly condemning the vandalism by MES activists in Belagavi,Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has warned of stringent action against those who torment Kannadigas in Karnataka.
State government will not tolerate any acts of vandalism.
Those who try to take law into their hands would be dealt with seriously.The police are taking appropriate action,Bommai said,speaking to media persons.
Reacting to the demand of JDS and Congress leaders for removing the Chairman of the TextBook Review Committee from his post, Bommai said the issue would be discussed with the Education minister.
Suitable action would be taken after ascertaining facts.
The Chief Minister declined to comment on various statements on Peer Pasha Dargah and Anubhava Mantapa.

Court orders should be obeyed
Reacting to the Hijab issue which is resurfacing in Mangaluru,Bommai said,the issue has been resolved at the Syndicate meeting through deliberations.
The Court has delivered its orders on the Hijab issue.Everyone should obey the Court orders.
The students should follow the orders of the College Development Committee(CDC) in PU colleges and the College Administrative Board or the Principal in colleges which do not have the CDC. In Universities,the decision of the Syndicate should be adhered to.
It is better for students to focus on their studies than on these controversies.
