Bengalore : Ashoknagar Police opened fire at rowdy sheeter accused of killing his rival, Rowdy-Sheeter Aravind inside football stadium .
The accused stalin had attacked head constable (HC) on Monday morning in a bid to escape.
Senior officer told media persons,The Ashoknagar police inspector Mallesh S Bolletin and his team who is investigating the murder case of another Rowdy-Sheeter Aravind who was brutally hacked to death in a football stadium on September 12th.
During investigation the accused Stalin was grilled by the team to know whereabouts of his associates who were involved in the murder case.
The accused spilled the beans and told the police that he is aware of his associates where they are hiding as he spilled the beans.
The police team had taken him to show his associate’s whereabouts.When they were near Christian Cemetery on Bannerghatta Road around 8.15 am,Stalin asked police to stop the vehicle.
When they got down he picked up a stone on the roadside and attacked Mahesh head constable who was escorting him in a bid to escape.
Police inspector Mallesh Bolletin,warned Stalin to stop attacking Mahesh and fired one round in the air,before firing at his leg below the knee in self defense.
Stalin collapsed and he was rushed to the hospital.The accused,Stalin,a resident of Old Bagaluru Layout near KG Halli.
He is injured on his left leg and is undergoing treatment in a private hospital.The injured police personnel is identified as Mahesh. Stalin was arrested by the Ashoknagar police a few days ago and was taken into police custody.
One more accused involved in the case is at large,during interrogation Stalin told police that he would show them the whereabouts of his associate.So the team was taking him in their vehicle but to escape he attacked our police team and later was arrested and further investigation is on.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant, has appreciated Addl CP West,Soumendhu Mukherjee,DCP Central,MN Anucheth,ACP Cubbon park sub-division,Yathiraj,PI,Mallesh S Bolletin and his team as Mahesh and other staff for their brave act in nabbing the murder accused who tried to escape from the police clutches has been arrested and for the commendable job done by them a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
