Bengaluru:
BBMP Chief Commissioner Shri Gaurav Gupta inspected the Shivananda Circle steel flyover work taken up by BBMP’s Project division, today.

Speaking after the inspection drive, Gaurav Gupta said that pending issues at the construction site are resolved and action is being taken to complete the pending work immediately.

A 493-meter long overpass is being constructed at Shivananda Circle. It is supported by 16 pillars, of which 15 pillars have already been completed. The 450 mm water pipeline located in front of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce from the Water Board has been shifted elsewhere. The pillar work had not been completed due to a 700 mm water pipeline that needed to be shifted. Now, the pipeline has been replaced and the pillar works are in progress. Officials have been instructed to complete the pending work quickly. The road needs to be repaired on both sides of the flyover. After the road is repaired, it will be open to the public in a phased manner without causing any inconvenience to the people. The Chief Commissioner suggested that the work be completed quickly, without traffic congestion, and that the service road under the flyover area where the construction work is completed must be opened to the public.

He said that the authorities were instructed to complete the project within a specific and quick time frame.

Joint Commissioners Mrs Pallavi, Shri Sarfaraj Khan, Eng-in-Chief Shri Prabhakar, Chief Engineer of the Project Division Shri Lokesh and other officials were present.
