BBMP says Covid heir family members of deceased due to Covid-19 will get compensation after submitting documents


As per the announcement made by the State Government of Karnataka,compensation to the Covid-19 victim to the legal heir of the family of the Below Poverty Line (BPL) under the Sandhya Suraksha Yojana Rs.1,00,000 to be credited and as per instructions from Central Government of Karnataka under State Disaster Relief Fund (SDRF) Rs.50,000 and a total of Rs.1,50,000 should be given. 

And,For the other Covid-19 victims a total of Rs. 50,000 relief under the SDRF to be given as a compensation directly to the legal hier through Direct Bank Transfer (DBT). 

Likewise,in the limits of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike,(BBMP),whoever were victims of Covid-19 and died,the family's legal hier a compensation was announced on September 30, 2021 by the Palike. 

Therefore,the family members of the deceased are requested to follow the below mentioned documents to be submitted and which office it needs to be submitted. 

1.In all the 198 wards of BBMP Revenue officer's office (Ward Revenue Officer) the legal hier has to go and submit the applications. 

2.Applicants have to fill the Form 1 which has details of the dead persons and applicants deals by producing the following documents: 

- Covid-19 positive results and patient's BU number.

- Death Certificate or Death Summary from the hospital (Form-4/4a).

- Identification document of the deceased.

- BPL card of the deceased (For State relief).

- Applicant's Aadhar card.

- Bank Passbook copy.

- Applicant's BPL card (for State relief).

- Applicant's Bank/Post Office Book.

- Self Declaration Form (Form-2).

- If any other person's other than deceased wife/husband is the applicant NoC (Form-3) to be obtained and submit the application.
