Karnataka government decides to lockdown corona hit wards in Bengaluru

Karnataka reached 7000 corona positive cases with 86 death cases on June 14. Today the total tally reached 9150. And 137 casualties are reported by the Karnataka Health Department. In the last one- week death rate doubled in Bangalore from 32 to 64.

“ Strict lockdown will be implemented in areas like KR Market, Siddapura, VVPuram, Kalasipalya and surrounding areas,” said CM Yediyurappa today. He mentioned that these areas reported more number of corona cases from the past one- week. From June 1 Bengaluru witnessing a sudden rise in fresh cases and casualties. Karnataka may reach 25,000 active cases by August 15 with a daily increasing rate of 4%  said a senior government official. He stressed to keep social distance and wear masks.
