*PM Appreciates States Efforts in Fight Against Covid 19.*
Bengaluru,June 17: Prime Minister Narendra Modi obtained information regarding the actions taken by the different State Governments and appreciated the emphasis laid on combating Covid 19 along with economic revival activities.
He was interacting with Chief Ministers of different States here today. He said that the States must proceed towards unlock. He suggested that the restrictions should be reduced and activities must speed up. The PM expressed his belief that Aathma Nirbhar package will boost the economic activities.
Chief Minister B.S.Yediyurappa participated in the video conference and explained the measures taken in the State to control Covid 19.
The Chief Minister briefed about the five T Principles that the State Government is following. Timely introduction and effective implementation of the 5T policy – trace, track, test, treat and technology has helped to fight coronavirus.
The State’s present healthcare infrastructure can treat 1 lakh Covid patients will be ramped up treat 2 lakh infected persons.
673 fever clinics have been established as a precautionary measure to avoid the possibility of spreading of virus in hospitals and clinics.
Out of the 1.68 crores families in the State, a survey of 1.5 crores families has been conducted and information regarding vulnerable has been documented. This survey has helped to take precautionary measures and also to take special care about such persons.
The State has increased the number of Covid testing labs to 72 with a testing capacity of more than 15,000 tests per day.
For every million population 7500 tests are being conducted and 1.6% Covid positive cases have been reported. Daily growth rate of the pandemic is about 3.6 % , the Chief Minister informed.
Establishment of Covid War Rooms, have played a key role in surveillance and maintaining a robust database in the process of combating Covid 19.
The state has robust ILIs and SARIs surveillance programmes. Data on these cases is being collected daily from private medical establishments and also pharmacies.
Further we are on the course to mandate all private healthcare establishments to compulsorily reserve a portion of their facilities exclusively for the treatment of COVID-19. Tele-ICU facility has been created to connect best doctors available in Bengaluru with the doctors treating COVID patients elsewhere, he explained.
Dr.K.Sudhakar, Minister of Medical Education gave a presentation on measures taken to contain Covid 19 in the state.
He explained about the use of technology, training programmes, precautionary measures taken at panchayat level and other best practice followed in the State to fight Covid 19.
