Bengaluru : Broad daylight murder reported in HAL police station limits in which the assailant has brutally murdered a 35 year old woman by stabbing her in which she died on the spot in Brookfield area.


The deceased has been identified as Haleema bibi,a domestic help and living with her family in kundanaahalli area.

Senior officer told reporters,Haleema Bibi was walking to work on Brookfield at around 10 am when the accused identified as Rafiqul Sheikh confronted her and demanded money she owed to him.

There was a heated argument ensued when Haleema refused.In the melee Rafiqh as pre meditated pulled out a knife and stabbed her on  neck before fleeing the spot.

Passers by rushed to her help but Haleema breath her last.

The HAL police rushed to the spot,shifted the body while launched a massive manhunt for Rafiul Sheikh.

Preliminary Probe revealed that Haleema and Rafiqh hailed from West Bengal and acquinted.

Rafiqh used to sell sarees and Haleema had bought few sarees on loan and also bought money from him.

Rafiqh was demanding Haleema to return the  money and duo used to have frequent fights.

Recently they had fight in which Haleema attacked Rafiqh with slippers and refused to pay back.

prima facie it looks,enraged by this Rafiqh would have killed her to take revenge.

Local residents have alleged the murder was carried out by Rafiqul with whom she used to do business with and who owed her money.

Another Resident claimed that both of them had fought over money recently and that had escalated to her hitting the man.As revenge, Rafiqul allegedly stabbed Halima to death while she was going out for work on Sunday morning.

A case of murder has been registered.The suspect is around 30-35 years of age named Rafiqul Sheikh a massive manhunt is on a special team headed by HAL police inspector Mohan will nab the accused soon he added.
